Reading Festival 2004Page 1 - Page 2 Got a great position right near the entrance to the arena this time in pretty much the same spot as in 2003. Also ended up camped next door to some really sound guys who we shared campfires, beers...and the rest with!
Everyone else said they'd be there by lunch on the first day (except Dee) and Darren was meant to be there by 9, same as me, to get a good spot. I got there just before 9 and Darren turned up at 12! The others turned up as it was evening!! Hence, by the time other people got there, I was well on my way already!
Linda, who must have been the first person ever to pack her hair straighteners for Reading. Luckily Jamie pointed out the obvious lack of plug sockets before setting off. She did bring a pashmina though!!
Darren did turn up eventually. Everyone in position and still looking in reasonable health on the first day!
This was the second morning heading in to see the 5, 6, 7, 8's (I don't know why either!)
James, one of Jamie's mates from uni. I think Mary might remember him from New Year in Liverpool!! ;)
Around our campsite. Somehow, despite being right next to the arena, we managed to keep a pretty big area clear for just sitting around! Can't think why noone wanted to camp near us!?
Linda getting into the swing!
Not sure what night this was, they all blend into one!
Nick in the middle was one of the guys from next door, absolutely crazy but a top bloke.
Last night I think. We went on one of our round campsite wanders en masse! This is in the central area by the arena just before i tried to jump on a barrel lay on it's side and almost broke my back!!
Feeling it a little on the last night? By the transformers flag which the guys brought with them.
