On Sharpe's Boat 2004 (Page 1)Page 1 - Page 2 For boat trip number 6 we were back to my roots, around Cheshire and Staffordshire. We started on the Caldon Canal and worked our way to the Trent & Mersey Canal. Gallan, true to his name, gayed out, which left Me, Sharpe, Sam and Horsley for 3 of the 4 nights, plus Jenny joined us for the Saturday night. Once again Sam chose the theme which this year was 'the original road trip'. A journey from East Coast to West Coast America along route 66. The idea was that we'd start in 1920's east coast america and work towards 21st century west coast. Unfortunately, other than the usual college rock CD's (which were meant to represent 90's California) the only CD we had was Robbie Williams' swing CD. Still, we tried to stick to the theme.
This was actually still in Sheffield. Sharpe and Sam came up for the night before driving over to the boat the next day. That thing around Sharpe's neck is a 'Confederacy neckerchief', which, along with a map, was about the only prop linked to the theme we had with us!
Cruising on the first day out towards Leek. We got well lucky with the weather, up to this point anyway!
In a tunnel near Leek. Everyone's looking well cheerful.
In a 'club' in Leek. Actually, it wasn't too bad for a thursday night. Only problem was we didn't realise it closed at 1. We were just getting nicely drunk and starting to dance a bit when the bloody lights came up and the bouncers started ushering us out!
Heading back to the boat.
Heading towards Stoke-On-Trent the next day.
Nice poses!
I managed to persuade Sharpe to stay at the end of the bridge whilst i raised it. He shat himself once it got to the top but couldn't get down. I laughed lots! Page 1 - Page 2 |
